The required depth of knowledge to build a race vehicle (Out of a possible 100), which takes into account:
- The overall power and speed of a typical amateur-built vehicle
- The complexity of the vehicle chassis, powertrain and suspension
- The need for chassis fabrication
- The use of aerodynamic devices
- The need for design
A score of 100 would indicate a high powered vehicle with a complex powertrain/suspension, built with a scratch-built chassis and utilizing aerodynamic devices.
A score of 10 or less would indicate a near-stock production vehicle with bolt-on components.
